Heard about all the celebrities causing a commotion on Twitter? Check out these profiles for a taste of the headline-making twittering that has everyone talking.
Everyone from pro athletes to politicians are embracing the Twitter craze. Curious about the profiles making headlines as they get caught up in twitter fights, tweet their viewers before going on-air, or even get into hot water with some ill-timed tweeting? Here are some Twitterati who are making waves. Musicians who Twitter"My six word story: "This heart didn't come with instructions." This tweet, posted by singer/songwriter John Mayer (Twitter username johncmayer) after reportedly being dumped by actress Jennifer Aniston, sent the Twitosphere into a tizzy. Was this a glimpse into the high-profile couple's demise? Mayer's frequent funny tweets have sent his followers soaring above the 300,000 mark and the heartfelt message caused fans to sit up and take notice. Another popular performer with a massive amount of followers is Sean "Diddy" Combs. There are lots of copycats, but don't be fooled. The real Diddy's Twitter username is iamdiddy. He updates fans on his projects, when he's about to go live from the studio, and his energy just pops off the screen. A typical Diddy tweet is full of positivity: "im ready lets go! im gonna change the world for the better!!!! i can do it!!! i can do anything!! and so can you!!! lets go!!" Movie Stars who TwitterDemi Moore (mrskutcher) and hubby Ashton Kutcher (aplusk) keep their followers entertained with tidbits from their domestic life. Ashton happily reports he is "watching my wife steam my suit while wearing a bikini" and then posts a cheeky picture of his wife's bikini-clad bottom. Demi counters with a tweet declaring him a "such a sneak!" Married by a Kabbalah rabbi and supporters of the Kabbalah Centre, they sometimes tweet co-director of the centre Rabbi Yehuda Berg (yehudaberg) whose offer of a free red Kabbalah string had followers in a frenzy. His daily thoughts inspire- "What U R doing now is the most important thing U have ever done. Make the most of it." NBA Players who TwitterLots of athletes love to Twitter- and one NBA player loves it so much he just couldn't wait until the game ended to get back to his tweeting. During halftime of a game against the Boston Celtics, Milwaukee Bucks forward Charlie Villanueva (CV31) twittered that "Coach wants more toughness. I gotta step up." That tweet made headlines as his coach scolded him for not being focused. No more halftime twittering for Charlie, but Shaquille O'Neal (THE_REAL_SHAQ) who tweets frequently, reassured his fans before a Washington game that fans WILL be hearing from him at halftime. Toronto Raptors star Chris Bosh and superstar LeBron James are also frequent twitterers. Politicians who TwitterElected officials offer a variety of Twitter streams from London's mayor Boris Johnson's recipe for homemade chutney: "apple, raisins, vinegar, sugar & onion. All in a pan. Cook till ready" to U.S. Senator John McCain's "twitterview" with George Stephanopoulos from ABC News. McCain, not known for his internet savvy, has really taken to twittering, even getting into a Twitter fight after criticizing the Oregon Solar Highway as the "No. 1 Porkiest Project" in a tweet from Congress. Oregon Rep Earl Blumenauer blasted him back with a tweet stating "McCain wasnt familiar with a blackberry right? Hows he supposed to understand a solar highway utilizing right-of-way to generate solar power." Don't want to miss any political twitterversies? Keep track of the officials who tweet at website Tweet Congress. While many famous personalities tweet to promote themselves and their projects and don't offer anything personal to the Twitosphere, the ones who do give glimpses into their reality are heaps of fun for celebrity watchers looking for profiles to follow.
