Twitter is a widely used microblogging service. Despite the seeming limitation of having to post updates in 140 characters or less, corporates, organizations and many businesses are turning to Twitter to communicate with their key audience. In many cases, that means having to manage multiple Twitter accounts.

There are a lot of applications to help users do just that. One of these is Brizzly.

What Is Brizzly?

Brizzly is a browser based web application which markets itself as a social media reader for Twitter and has recently extended its services to support Facebook too. It includes several tools that help users manage multiple Twitter accounts with ease.

Balance Personal And Professional Twitter Accounts With Brizzly

Having to balance using Twitter for business with a personal Twitter account can be a hassle, but Brizzly makes it easy. Users have to connect their Twitter accounts the first time they use Brizzly, but after that the application connects to them automatically. Avatars for each account appear at the top of the Brizzly homepage and users just have to click to connect to manage the Twitter account of their choice.

How Brizzly Works With Twitter

Brizzly interacts with Twitter in many important ways. Users have access to their profile, mentions, direct messages, lists and saved searches, which are automatically synced with the Twitter web accounts they belong to. However, Brizzly also includes other useful features such as inline image and video previews, automatic decryption of URLs shortened on Twitter, and a built-in image uploader. It even allows Twitter users to save draft texts for later posting (though not, unfortunately, to schedule them). All of these features make it easier to view Twitter.

One of the best features in Brizzly is the ability to temporarily mute users who are tweeting about something that is of little interest. It may be useful to temporarily mute people who tweet mostly about their personal lives if there is a business issue you want to focus on.

Business users of Brizzly will also appreciate the ability to manage followers easily. Click on an avatar in the Twitter timeline and a user can see that person's profile and decide whether to follow, unfollow or add to a list. Users can also click on the followers list in their own profile for more in-depth profile management.

Managing Facebook With Brizzly

Those who are also using Facebook accounts for business will find the integration with Facebook useful. It allows you to see your home stream and wall and to post status updates. Users can also comment on items in their Facebook news stream.

Applications like Brizzly can be key tools for managing multiple Twitter accounts as well as a Facebook account, making it a useful business tool. Try Brizzly to see what a useful Twitter tool it is.
